A very interesting novella about the Eleonora’s falcon by the writer Michalis Makropoulos has been published and will be distributed to students, contributing to their awareness related to the species, but also to social issues. The novella, titled “Mavro-Petros”, is about the friendship of a thirteen-year-old boy with an old navy and takes place in an Aegean island, during two summers and two winters. But it is also a story about all sorts of trips: true and fantasy, those of seafarers and those of refugees. The Eleonora’s falcon is running through the pages of the book as a “hidden” protagonist and as a symbol of every trip.
