Utilizing satellite telemetry data from Eleonora’s falcons that originate from 5 breeding areas (from the Canary islands to Cyprus) and examining different climate change scenarios, the LIFE ElClimA team in collaboration with 14 researchers from reputed institutions produced a species-wide habitat suitability map at Eleonora’s falcon main wintering area, Madagascar, under current and future environmental conditions. Unveiling new challenges for the species, the results of the study are expected to contribute to the conservation of the Eleonora’s falcon in the light of climate change.
